231 names came to BJP
According to the information, 231 names had come in BJP (Lok Sabha Election 2024), which were sent by the party's Lok Sabha in-charge. The selection committee has shortlisted these names and decided on 40 names. On many seats, a panel of four names has been prepared, while on many seats a panel of two names has also been prepared. The important aspect is that the party has finalized names for 13 Lok Sabha seats. There is a possibility that BJP may soon reach an agreement with Shiromani Akali Dal.
Party will announce names on 13 seats
Let us tell you that State President Sunil Jakhar has already made it clear that the party will prepare for elections on all 13 seats. It is up to the party high command whether to compromise with Akali Dal or not. A senior party leader said that the names of probable candidates from 13 Lok Sabha constituencies have been shortlisted.
If there is an agreement with Akali Dal, BJP will work on its share of seats and will leave the remaining seats. Since no consensus has been reached yet, the party is working on all the seats.
Captain Amarinder Singh was not present in the BJP meeting. It is being told that he did not attend the meeting due to health reasons. The Captain was also not present on the occasion of his wife Preneet Kaur joining BJP. However, his daughter Jai Inder Kaur was definitely present in this meeting.
