Olympic champion Qin Haiyang will participate in the World Aquatics Championship

Beijing, 6 December (Hindustan). Olympic champion Qin Haiyang and silver medalist Tang Qianting will lead China’s 33-member team competing at the World Aquatics Swimming Championships from December 10 to 15.

Qin, the gold medalist in the men’s 4x100m medley relay at the Paris Olympics, will compete in his favorite breaststroke events, while Tang Qianting, who won two silver medals in the women’s 100m breaststroke and mixed 4x100m medley relay, will compete in the 50m and 100m. Will participate in meter breaststroke.

13-year-old Zhou Yanjun and Lu Xingchen are the youngest among the 18 female swimmers, while 16-year-old Chen Shengxin and Li Taiyu are the youngest among the men.

Notable swimmers absent from the Budapest World Championships include men’s 100 meter freestyle world record holder Pan Zhanle and two-time Olympic gold medalist Zhang Yufei.
