Kathmandu, 6 December (Hindustan Reporter). The King and Queen of Bhutan are scheduled to stay in Kathmandu for some time on Friday on their way back to their country after a two-day visit to Delhi. As part of the Kathmandu transit, the King of Bhutan will not hold any political meeting in Kathmandu but he is going to visit the major religious places of the Buddhist sect.
According to the information given by the Bhutan Embassy in Kathmandu, Bhutan’s King Jigme Khesar Wanchuk along with his family is scheduled to stay in Kathmandu for five hours. The embassy also informed that the royal family of Bhutan is going to visit the Buddhist Stupa and Swayambhu located in Kathmandu. They are going to stay here as they are in transit from Delhi to Paro in Bhutan via Kathmandu.
The Chief Protocol Officer of Nepal’s Foreign Ministry said that the Bhutanese royal family will be provided full security as per protocol during their stay in Kathmandu for a few hours.
