Shinde gave up respect to become Deputy CM

Mumbai: After Mahayuti got majority in the Maharashtra Assembly elections, after 12 days of suspense over the post of Chief Minister and debate over whether to join Eknath Shinde’s government or not, Devendra Fadnavis was finally sworn in as the 20th Chief Minister of the state. Took. Today.

This evening, amidst a crowd of 40 thousand at Azad Maidan in Mumbai, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Ministers, Chief Ministers of NDA ruled states, top businessmen of the country and many Bollywood celebrities including Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan, Ranveer Singh raised slogans of yes. -No, Yes-No In the swearing-in ceremony, Eknath Shinde finally left all the formalities and took oath as Deputy Chief Minister. Ajit Pawar today created a unique record by taking oath as the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra for the sixth time. However, no other minister took oath today due to the ongoing tussle among colleagues over the composition of the Cabinet. Now there are speculations that the cabinet will be expanded next week.

Although the cabinet has not been formed yet, there is a possibility of expansion next week as the dispute over portfolio sharing continues.

Immediately after taking the oath, the tripartite CM and both the Deputy Chief Ministers reached the Secretariat. The first cabinet meeting took place there. Later Fadnavis again addressed his first press conference as CM, saying that we will provide a stable government. There will be no feeling of revenge and a new kind of politics will be seen in the state.

Among the dignitaries present at the swearing-in ceremony were Union Home Minister Amit Shah, J. P. Apart from Nadda, Rajnath Singh, Nitin Gadkari, Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Chief Ministers of NDA ruled states Yogi Adityanath, Nitish Kumar, Hemant Vishwa Sharma, Mohan Yadav, Pramod Sawant etc. were included.

Apart from Bollywood actors Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Madhuri Dixit, cricketer Sachin Tendulkar and businessman Mukesh Ambani were also present in the swearing-in ceremony.

After the oath, in the first cabinet of the three leaders, it was decided to call a special session of the Assembly from 7th to 9th and administer oath to all the MLAs.

Shinde had announced yesterday afternoon that he had not taken a final decision on joining as deputy chief minister. The high voltage drama on this issue continued till this afternoon. Finally, Shiv Sena MLAs warned that if Shinde does not become the Deputy Chief Minister in the government, no Shiv Sena MLA will be inducted as a minister. Finally, at 3:30 in the afternoon, a message was sent from Shiv Sena to Raj Bhavan that Shinde also had to take oath as Deputy Chief Minister.

There is still a deadlock regarding account sharing. Shinde is demanding an account of the house but BJP is not agreeing to it. That’s why the swearing-in ceremony of ministers took place. Probably the cabinet will be expanded next week.

It is noteworthy that Fadnavis has become the Chief Minister for the third time. Before this, he was the CM of the BJP-Shiv Sena coalition government from 2014 to 2019. After this, after the 2019 assembly elections, he took oath as Chief Minister with the support of Ajit Pawar. However, Fadnavis had to resign within five days after Ajit Pawar was defeated. After this, Maha Vikas Aghadi government was formed under the leadership of Uddhav Thackeray. That government fell due to Shinde’s coup. Later Fadnavis became Deputy Chief Minister in Shinde’s government. Fadnavis has become the first leader to take oath as the Chief Minister after becoming the Deputy Chief Minister of the state.

Aghadi leaders were missing during the swearing in

The swearing-in ceremony of the new Mahayuti government in the state was attended by former Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, Congress leader Nana Patole and leaders of three parties including NCP and opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi. (SP) chief Sharad Pawar Supriya Sule was also absent.
