Concern about tanker mafia
Bengaluru city is developing tremendously. People from every corner of the country go there in search of employment. The former Prime Minister said that the problem of drinking water is very serious in the city of Bengaluru, which provides shelter to everyone.
16 TMC feet of Kaveri water is being supplied to Bengaluru with a population of 1.45 crore. However, this water is much less than the demand of the city. These armed tanker mafias are extorting money from people. ₹3000 for a tanker of water. How unfair it is that a family of just four has to spend ₹20,000 on water every month. Expressing concern, he said that this is a matter of concern.
In this background, everyone should keep politics aside and support the Mekedatu project. He said that if this project is implemented then this problem will be solved.
