Baroda team created history in T20, Hardik-Krunal team made world record

Baroda team has created history under the captaincy of Krunal Pandya. The team scored 349 runs on the scoreboard against Sikkim in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. The team scored the highest score of 349 runs for five wickets in 20 overs against Sikkim in Indore on Thursday. With this the team became the first team to score more than 300 in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

Baroda broke Zimbabwe’s record

Till now, the biggest team record in this format was in the name of Zimbabwe, which had scored 344 runs against Zambia in October this year. Batsman Bhanu Paniya scored 134 runs in just 51 balls against Sikkim for last season’s runner-up team. Apart from this, Abhimanyu Singh, Vishnu Solanki and Shivalik Sharma also scored half-centuries. Earlier, the highest score in the tournament was in the name of Punjab which had scored 275 runs against Andhra in the last season.

Apart from them, Shivalik scored 55 runs in 17 balls, Abhimanyu scored 53 runs in 17 balls, Vishnu Solanki scored 50 runs in 16 balls and Shaswat Rawat scored 43 runs in 16 balls. A total of 18 fours and 37 sixes were hit during Baroda’s innings, making the match a nightmare for Sikkim bowlers. With this, a new record has also been created for hitting most sixes in a match. Earlier this record was in the name of Zimbabwe who had hit 27 sixes against Zambia.
