Farmers have been agitating for the last several days regarding their demands related to Noida Greater-Noida Expressway Authority. Meanwhile, several rounds of talks have been held between farmer organizations and officials, which have proved to be inconclusive. Farmers had tried to move towards Delhi in large numbers on Monday but were stopped on the way. A day later, on Tuesday, the police arrested hundreds of farmers protesting at Dalit Prerna Sthal in Greater Noida and sent them to Lucsar jail. Since then the farmers have become more angry.

In this meeting, it was announced to organize a Mahapanchayat of farmers in Noida on Wednesday. In this, farmers from many districts left this morning but the police stopped most of them midway.
