Seminar on Contribution of Science and Technology towards Developed India

Jodhpur, 04 December (Hindustan Reporter). Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur and Indian Institute of Technology Indore jointly organized Technical Hindi Seminar 2024 on 2nd and 3rd December. The theme of the event was the contribution of science and technology towards a developed India. The symposium was held at the Jodhpur campus and was attended by a large number of technical experts, researchers, poets and school students from across the country.

The seminar was inaugurated by the directors of both the institutes. In his inaugural address, he described the event as an important effort to promote technical and scientific dialogue in Indian languages. The objective of the seminar was to present Hindi language as a medium of technology and innovation. During this he emphasized on the possibilities of science and technology in the Indian context.

More than 700 students and others participated:

In the programme, a special session named Vigyan Kiran was organized for school students, in which more than 700 students and others from various schools of Jodhpur participated. In this session, students got information about new possibilities in the field of science and technology. Chief guest of the seminar, Shri Anil Joshi, former Vice President, Central Hindi Institute and President, Global Hindi Parivar, appreciated this effort and described it as an excellent initiative towards deepening the mutual relationship between Hindi language and science.

Experts gave lectures:

In the online session, Shabalendu Sharma Dadhich, Director, Local Languages ​​and Accessibility, Microsoft, informed the participants about the use of technology tools in Hindi. His presentation especially attracted the attention of students and technical personnel. Apart from this, the experts included in the seminar included Prof. Hem Chandra Jha (Department of Biology and Biomedical Engineering, IIT Indore), Prof. Rajesh Kumar (Department of Physics, IIT Indore), Dr. Amit Goyal (Head of Department, Otorhinolaryngology, AIIMS Jodhpur), Prof. B. Ravindra (Department of Mechanical Engineering, IIT Jodhpur), and Prof. Vivek Vijay (Department of Mathematics, IIT Jodhpur) presented his lectures on various aspects of science and technology.

Release of Kavita Bharti in poetry evening:

As part of cultural programmes, a poetry evening was organized in which Kavita Bharati collection was released. In this program, prominent poets Mr. Akash Naurangi, Dr. Vivek Vijay, Dr. Rajesh Kumar, and Mr. Shubham Pandey ‘Mukt’ underlined the importance of science, technology and Hindi language through their poems.

Discussion on a panel on technical promotion of official language Hindi:

On the second day of the seminar, a panel discussion was organized on technical promotion of the official language Hindi. In this, the symposium organizers and experts, such as Dr. Rakesh Kumar Mishra (IIT BHU, Varanasi) and Professor (Dr.) Janak Singh Meena (Central University of Gujarat, Gandhinagar), discussed the expansion and effective implementation of this symposium in future. Along with this, an official language workshop was also organized, in which Dr. Shailesh Tripathi, Official Language Manager, Oil India Limited, gave information on effective use of Hindi in government offices.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Organizing Secretary Dr. Nitin Bhatia, Official Language Officer. The Technical Hindi Seminar 2024 not only underlined the role of Hindi in technical and scientific discourse but also reinforced the contribution of the language to India’s progress.
