Aadhar Free Updation: If you want to update your Aadhar card, then this may be the last chance to get it done for free. The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has set the deadline for free updating of information in Aadhaar as 14 December 2024. That means you have 12 days left to update it for free. Earlier this deadline was 14 June 2024, which has been extended to 14 September and now to 14 December 2024. After this, a fee will have to be paid for updating Aadhaar.

How to update Aadhaar online?
You can update your Aadhar card information online for free while sitting at home.
Visit UIDAI website: Login to myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in.
Select the Updates section: Click on the option ‘Update your Aadhaar’ under ‘My Aadhaar’.
Update Details: Click on ‘Update Aadhaar Details (Online)’ and then ‘Document Update’.
Login with OTP: Enter your Aadhaar number and captcha, then login using the OTP received on the registered mobile.
Fill in the information: Update information like name, address or date of birth.
Upload Document: Upload and submit the required documents.
Save URN: Save the Update Request Number (URN) after the process is complete.

Some changes are not possible online and for this you will have to visit the nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra. To update the information given below, you will have to visit the center.
Biometric Update: To update Iris, Fingerprint, Mobile Number or Photo.
Date of Birth and Gender: These updates can be made only once.
Offline Update Fee: Fees will have to be paid for offline updates.
