Three years imprisonment to the person guilty of dowry harassment and murderous attack

Firozabad, 3 December (Hindustan Reporter). The court on Tuesday sentenced a person guilty of dowry harassment and attempt to murder to three years imprisonment. A fine has been imposed on him. Failure to pay fine will result in additional punishment.

Brajbala’s daughter Kalicharan had filed a case against Amit Kumar, son of Manikchandra, resident of Chandan Nagar, resident of Agra district, new population, in the women’s police station in 2016. The police registered a report of dowry harassment and murderous attack against her and after investigation filed a charge sheet in the court.

The case proceeded in the court of Additional Sessions Judge Court No. 1 Sunil Kumar. ADGC Sheelendra Chauhan, who was defending the case on behalf of the prosecution, said that many witnesses testified during the trial. Many evidences were presented before the court. On the basis of testimony and evidence of witnesses, the court found Amit guilty.

The court has sentenced him to three years imprisonment. A fine of Rs 8000 has been imposed on him. Failure to pay fine will result in additional punishment.

Police monitoring cell and court advocate head constable Manoj Kumar have contributed in getting the punishment.
