Raipur, December 3 (HS). A case of assault on a female development block education officer has come to light in Abhanpur, adjacent to Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh. Rajan Baghel, the headmaster of a school, abused and assaulted him for marking confidential character list (CR). CCTV video of the incident has also surfaced. On the complaint of the case, the accused Pradhanpathak was arrested on Monday and sent to jail.
According to the information received from Abhanpur Police, the entire matter is of Abhanpur Development Block Education Officer office. Rajan Baghel, the head reader posted at Village Parsada East Secondary School, reached at 11.30 am on Monday. He had reached Abhanpur’s BEO Dhaneshwari Sahu regarding marking in his service book. Where there was a dispute between BEO and Pradhan Pathak regarding marking in CR. He had come for marking of category in his CR. Wanted to correct ‘B’ in CR to ‘K’. Babu Yaduram Sahu presented before BEO for action. Rajan Baghel was given ‘B’ in CR. Pressure was being put on the BEO to correct it to ‘A’. BEO Dhaneshwari Sahu told that when he refused to do so, he hit the file in his face. He abused and threatened to kill. Even after this, the anger of the accused did not subside. An attempt was made to stop him, but he strangulated the woman BEO. During this time, other employees present there caught him. The medical report states that the BEO has a neck injury.
It is known that a woman BEO is posted in Abhanpur development block. It can be seen in the CCTV video that after a dispute, a fight broke out between the two. The BEO office staff somehow intervened. On the complaint of the female officer, an FIR was registered against Pradhan Pathak. A case has been registered against the accused Rajan Baghel and he has been arrested.
