Lucknow, 02 December (HS). Uttar Pradesh Public Works Department (PWD) Engineer (JE) Satyendra Yadav was caught red-handed taking bribe of Rs 1 lakh in the name of payment for work in Hardoi, officials have maintained silence.
On Monday, the vigilance team camped near the office of the Public Works Department in Hardoi. Under the pre-planned scheme, JE Satyendra Yadav was given Rs 1 lakh from the contractor. As soon as JE took the money in his hand. At the same time the Vigilance team took him into custody.
When the Vigilance team interrogated Satyendra Yadav after taking him into custody, it was found that he had demanded up to Rs 10 lakh from the contractor. In which he was going to give one lakh rupees today. During this time, the Vigilance team arrested him and legal action is being taken. The team members have informed the media about the complaints received against JE.
