After this, the farmers broke the barricades of Noida Police near Dalit Prerna Sthal and moved ahead. Due to this the situation has become serious. In view of this, the police has made strict arrangements near DND. At the same time, Delhi Police is also on alert regarding the farmers’ movement. Due to the farmers’ agitation, there has been a long traffic jam here. People are very troubled by this. Amidst heavy security, the police is monitoring it with a drone. Now the farmers have put brakes on their plans to march to Delhi for their demands. Farmers will now conduct their agitation at Dalit Prerna Sthal only. The farmers have also decided to vacate the road.
With the announcement of farmers’ march to Delhi, a large number of police forces and RAF teams have been deployed on the borders of Uttar Pradesh and Delhi. All the farmers have united near Mahamaya flyover. Barricading has been done at various places to stop the farmers. Police is also deployed at UP Gate of Ghaziabad. To prevent farmers from going towards Delhi, tight security arrangements have been made at the Delhi-Noida border. Due to the farmers’ protest on the Delhi-Noida border, traffic on both sides has been affected.
On the other hand, senior officers of Delhi Police are also present at the border to stop the farmers from moving towards Delhi. Farmers have just been stopped near Mahamaya flyover. Traffic on Delhi-Noida border is affected due to farmer protest. The farmers had once again started their march to Delhi. But after this, the farmers have postponed the decision to march to Delhi for the time being. However, the police have parked two cranes and a truck in the middle of the highway along with two barricades.
Due to Delhi march, there is heavy traffic jam on Delhi-Noida road. Even the ambulance got stuck in the jam. Many vehicles are stuck in the jam for hours. At present, the police has stopped the farmers at Dalit Prerna Sthal in Noida itself. Farmers had marched towards Delhi from Mahamaya flyover. Finally, after walking a short distance, the police stopped. Due to this the farmers are sitting on the highway itself. But they are continuously raising slogans.
Farmer organizations have given an ultimatum to the central government that the government and officials have time to fulfill our demands. Without this we will not return to our home. We have already told them our programs. If they do not announce anything by evening, we will announce our programs further.
On farmers’ ‘Dilli Chalo’ march, farmer leader Rakesh Tikait said, “Farmers have been stopped at Mahamaya flyover. Farmers want to go towards Delhi, because the solution will come from Delhi only… Police are stopping the farmers, while farmers want to go towards Delhi…”.
