Dhari Municipality will be formed by merging Prempara, Haripara, Vekariapara, Navapara-Linepara group gram panchayats around Dhari into Dhari Gram Panchayat. Dhari Ambardi Safari Park and ancient Galdhara in Amreli district is situated at a distance of 6 km from Khodiyar Mata Temple. Not only this, Dhari Gir is home to the Eastern Sanctuary and Forest Area, which attracts a large number of tourists throughout the year.
The Chief Minister has decided to give municipal status to Ambardi Safari Park and Gir East Sanctuary area for the purpose of tourism development, which will provide more facilities to tourists and will also lead to progress in economic and social life along with local employment. Along with this, since about 25 villages of Dhari Taluka are in the forest area, it is also intended in the structure of the municipality that in case of forest fire, fire brigade and fire fighting services can be easily provided by this municipality in time.
160th municipality will be formed
Believing that getting the status of Municipality will lead to overall development of this area and will promote tourism and the citizen-oriented facilities of the Municipality will also increase the ease of living of the people. This proposed municipality will become the 160th municipality of the state. At present, 22 of ‘A’ category, 30 of ‘B’ category, 60 of ‘C’ category and 42 of ‘D’ category, a total of 159 municipalities are functioning. Now Dhari Municipality will also be added to this new ‘D’ category municipality.
Eder’s public demand accepted
Taking another decision, CM Bhupendra Patel approved the proposal to include Jawanpura-Sadatpura village and society area in Edar Municipality of Sabarkantha. Responding positively to the long standing demand of the people of Idar, the Chief Minister has decided to merge these two gram panchayats into Idar Municipality. As a result of increasing the area of Eder city, T.P. The planning or development plan can be completed easily and the development of the entire area will gain momentum.
