On Sunday night, soldiers of the 27th battalion of BSF deployed at BOP Metla under BSF Sector Gurdaspur fired at a Pakistani drone entering Indian territory from the International Border.
According to the information, at around 11.30 pm on Sunday night, BSF soldiers of BOP Metla, alert on the border, saw a Pakistani drone in the night sky on the Indian border. Where about 6 fires and one light bomb were fired by the alert soldiers on duty. On hearing the news of drone activity, senior BSF officials reached the spot. Apart from the officers and soldiers of 27 battalion of BSF, the police of Dera Baba Nanak police station has reached the concerned area and is carrying out the search operation since Monday morning.
