IPS officer Harsh Vardhan dies in accident: Karnataka cadre Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Harsh Vardhan, who was about to take charge of the first posting of his career in Karnataka’s Hassan district, died in an accident.

The accident happened due to burst tire of the car.

The accident happened on Sunday evening. Vardhan was on his way to Hassan for duty as a probationary assistant superintendent of police (ASP) in Holenarsipur when a tire of a police vehicle burst near Kittan area in Hassan taluk. And because of this the driver lost control of the vehicle. And the car collided with a building and a tree on the roadside.

Vardhan suffered serious head injuries, a senior police officer said. After this he was admitted to the hospital for treatment. Where he died during treatment. While driver Manjegowda suffered minor injuries. Harsh Vardhan recently completed four weeks of training at the Karnataka Police Academy in Mysore.

The family is in shock after hearing the news of son’s death.

Harsh Vardhan’s family lives in Rewa district of Madhya Pradesh. His age was 26 years. The family was shocked to hear the news of their son’s death. Vardhan earned a degree in engineering. He was an IPS officer of Karnataka cadre of 2022-23 batch. Hassan Superintendent of Police Mohammad Sujit and Assistant Superintendent of Police Venkatesh Naidu also paid tribute to Harsh Vardhan.
