Beijing, 2 December (Hindustan Reporter). American talent Jordan Stolz won four individual gold medals at the ISU Speed Skating World Cup at the National Speed Skating Oval here on Sunday.
Stolz, who won three gold medals in the men’s 500 m, 1,000 m and 1,500 m events in the first two competition days, won his fourth gold in the “ice ribbon” with a time of 34.39 seconds in the second 500 m race.
Janning de Boo of the Netherlands, who finished second in the first race on Friday, took another silver medal by 0.08 seconds, while South Korea’s Kim Jun-ho finished third in 34.67 seconds.
“I’m very happy to get this win and continue my winning streak in my first two World Cups,” the 20-year-old Stolz told Xinhua.
She also won four gold medals at the season-opening World Cup in Nagano, Japan, last weekend. Sunday’s victory extended their record of 12 consecutive World Cup wins dating back to last season and the Americans are still looking for more victories.
