Fatehabad, 30 November (HS). While taking action in the case of shooting death of a JBT teacher in village Ramsara of Bhattu area of the district, Bhattukalan police has arrested the criminal Rakesh alias Kalu, resident of Hisar district, carrying a reward of Rs 25 thousand. The police produced the accused in the court on Saturday and sent him to jail.
The accused Rakesh alias Kalu is said to be associated with the notorious Punnu gang and Bhambhu gang. Gurugram STF had arrested accused Rakesh from Thailand. Rakesh had fled to Thailand on a fake passport. He was lodged in Hisar jail in the case of firing at Mahindra showroom in Hisar and demanding ransom. Giving information about this, Bhattukalan police station in-charge SI Kuldeep Singh said that the police had registered a case in this regard on March 1, 2021 on the complaint of Stalin, resident of Dadoli village of Adampur. According to the complainant, his uncle Surendra’s son Jitendra Singh alias Piki was working as a JBT teacher in Ramsara Primary School. When he came out of school in the afternoon, two youths who came on a motorcycle opened fire indiscriminately at Jitendra.
Jitendra died on the spot in this incident. In this case, the district police had announced a reward of Rs 25 thousand on the accused Rakesh alias Kalu. Gathering important clues in the case, Bhattukalan police brought the accused Rakesh on production warrant and presented him in the court from where he was sent to jail. Apart from Fatehabad, many cases including murder, fraud are registered against the accused Rakesh alias Kala in Adampur, Hisar, Bhiwani, Barwala, Gohana, Gurugram, Sirsa, Sonipat and Bhattukalan. According to the information received, during police interrogation, Rakesh alias Kalu told that in 2019, when he was lodged in Hisar jail in a murder case, he met Anil alias Monu, resident of Gyanpura. He had told Anil to avenge his father’s death and deal with the liquor contractors. After this, after being sentenced to life imprisonment in 2020, he went to Bikaner jail.
There he met Jagdish alias Bablu Garhwal resident of Bandaheri. After this, after the death of his grandfather, he came on parole and did not go back to jail. After this he went to a poultry farm with Jagdish. There he found Mukesh Punia Dabri, Vinod Tarad, Monu and Bachi. All of them together planned to kill Master Jitendra who worked in Ramsara because Jitendra had taken liquor contracts from many villages. The accused had told Jitendra to take the contracts of Adampur circle and leave the contracts of Dadoli for them but Jitendra did not agree. After this, on March 1, as per the plan, Monu and the girl murdered Jitendra.
