Lucknow, 30 November (HS). Irregularities were confirmed in the construction of the Outer Ring Road around the border of Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. After this, FIR was lodged against two companies. Now the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has started investigation in this matter. The members of the CBI investigating team have seized many important documents from the office of the National Highway Authority (NHAI).
Some time ago a tender for Outer Ring Road was held in Lucknow. Which was found by M/s Sadbhav Engineering Limited Company based in Naurangpur, Gujarat state. Sadbhav Engineering Limited did not complete the work within the stipulated period. NHAI terminated the agreement on 14 September 2022.
On behalf of the NHAI unit, the construction work of Outer Ring Road was given to Gawar Construction Company of Gurgaon. Both the companies did the work of Outer Ring Road. Still, irregularities came to light in the work of the Outer Ring Road. Within a year, potholes started appearing on the Outer Ring Road and biting started appearing.
FIR was registered against both the companies in the said case. Whose investigation has been handed over to CBI. When the eight-member CBI team started the investigation, they took away the files related to the case from the NHAI office located in Vibhutikhand. Only after examining the files, CBI will interrogate NHAI, people of both the companies and local contractors on the basis of facts. Till then, the passports of the key people of both the companies have been confiscated, barring them from going out of the country.
