Prayagraj, 30 November (Hindustan Reporter). Hinduism is not just a method of worship, but a holistic system of living. To understand this, deep study and proper guidance is required. At present, it is necessary to present the basic principles of Hindu religion in a simple and scientific form among the youth and other sections of the society. This system based on Indian values is important to keep India safe.
The above views were expressed by Vishwa Hindu Parishad Union Minister Ambarish in a seminar and dialogue program on the topic “Cultural Change: Questions on Indianness” at Vatsalya Auditorium, Civil Lines, through Shankha Sanstha. In the programme, there was a meaningful discussion on the basic question of Indianness and at the end some questions were taken through a question-and-answer session.
The VHP Union Minister said that only a deep understanding of religion and self-realization can help us rise above casteism, discrimination and conservative thinking. To make the society aware, there is a need to promote cultural and educational activities through study of religious texts, propagation of Sanskrit and temples. Also, collective efforts should be made to spread the values of Indian culture at the global level. If Hinduism is understood and adopted in its entirety, it can pave the way for peace and harmony not only in India but throughout the world.
As a co-speaker in the program, Professor Sunil Kumar Sharma, Head of the Department of English, Allahabad University, said that there is a need to understand the distortions happening in Indian culture today. The uniqueness of Indian culture is not hidden from anyone. But it is sad that we Indians are forgetting this and following western civilization. Today this topic which has been raised here is very relevant in the context of this and we need to give special emphasis to preserve and promote Indian values.
Assistant Principal of Allahabad University, Dr. Mrityunjay Rao Parmar said that Indian culture is going to show the path not only to India but to the entire world. There is a relationship between individual, society, culture and institution, which is very important to preserve. Dr. Kirtika Aggarwal, the coordinator of the program, sent her best wishes to everyone and briefly presented the topic to everyone and talked about establishing a better Indian society based on Indian values.
