Health Service Festival organized at 56 health centers of Guwahati

Guwahati, 30 November (Hindustan Reporter). ‘Health Service Mahotsav’ will be organized for the third time at 56 health centers in Kamrup (Metropolitan) district along with Assam. Health centers at the Mahotsav will be assessed on the basis of infrastructure, human resources and quality of health service delivery.

The assessment will be conducted at one district hospital, one community health centre, two FRUs, 47 primary health centers and five sub-health centers – Ayushman Arogya Mandir – in the city. An administrative officer and a doctor from Gauhati Medical College will inspect and evaluate the health centers as external evaluators. A top administrative official will evaluate the health centers as an external evaluator.

Health Services Mahotsav was organized for the first time across the state in April 2023. The first phase of the Health Service Mahotsav covered 49 health centers in Kamrup Metropolitan District. Of these, nine hospitals got A grade, 26 got B grade and 14 got C grade. Health Service Mahotsav was organized for the second time in November 2023 in a total of 51 health centers of the district. A total of 39 hospitals got A grade, 11 got B grade and 1 got C grade.

At a press conference held at the District Commissioner’s office on Saturday, Commissioner Sumit Sattavan said that the city health services committee has taken all measures to ensure that the evaluation of the third Health Services Mahotsav is conducted smoothly and the public can benefit from it. . District Development Commissioner Parijat Bhuyan, Joint Director of Health Services Dr. Uday Shankar Medhi and District Planning Manager of National Health Mission Kamrup Metropolitan Rajeev Kumar Medhi also attended the press conference.
