Punjab Weather News: The weather is going to be dry in Punjab and Chandigarh today. Such weather is likely to persist for the next seven days. According to the Meteorological Department, western disturbance has become active. Due to which there is a possibility of rain and snowfall in many areas of Himachal Pradesh. Fresh snowfall also occurred in some areas. After which slight cold has increased in the plains. According to the Meteorological Center, the direction of the winds is from the mountains towards the plains. After the fresh snowfall, day and night temperatures will drop by 2 to 3 degrees in the coming days.
Due to which the cold will increase in the plains. Talking about yesterday, the lowest temperature recorded in Adampur was 6 degrees. Whereas the minimum temperature of Chandigarh was 8.7 degrees, which was 2.2 degrees less than normal. Due to lack of rain, North India is in the grip of pollution for about one and a half months. The pollution level is likely to reduce only after the rains. The Air Quality Index (AQI) in Ludhiana and Amritsar has once again crossed 200. Whereas in other cities it is between 100 to 200. But some relief has been seen in Chandigarh. There has been a slight change in air pollution due to the wind moving towards the west. AQI in Chandigarh remains below 200.

Chandigarh – There is a possibility of light fog in the city, sunshine will come in the afternoon. The temperature can remain between 9 to 27 degrees.
Amritsar- There are chances of fog in the city. The temperature can remain between 9 to 25 degrees.
Jalandhar- Light fog is expected in the city. The temperature can remain between 9 to 25 degrees.
Ludhiana- Light fog is expected in the city. The temperature can be between 8 to 25 degrees.
Patiala- Light fog is expected in the city. The temperature can remain between 9 to 25 degrees.
Mohali- Light fog is expected in the city. The temperature can remain between 10 to 27 degrees.
