The Mahindra XEV 9e has a three-screen layout, which includes a digital driver display, infotainment unit and a third display for the front passenger. Two of the displays can be used for the person sitting on the driver’s seat and the third can be used for the front passenger to stream movies and other OTT content, play games and participate in online calls. Apart from this, the facility of climate control and volume control has been provided in these displays.
2. Glass ceiling
Both the Mahindra XEV 9e and BE 6e have a fixed panoramic glass roof, which is illuminated by light strips. It changes color depending on driving speed. Based on both of these, the panoramic glass roof has a different pattern, synchronized with the ambient lighting of the cabin.
3. 2-spoke steering wheel
Mahindra XEV 9e and BE 6e get a two-spoke steering wheel with the new Mahindra logo. This has happened for the first time in a Mahindra car. The new steering wheel also has toggle switches for features like volume controls and the instrument cluster menu. Along with this, paddle shifters are also provided to adjust the battery area. It also has one-pedal drive and boost mode.
4. Augmented Reality (AR) based head-up display
Both electric cars of Mahindra have head-up display with augmented reality technology. It provides information like speed and turn-by-turn navigation to the driver while driving the car. The driver can increase or decrease its brightness as per his need. It seems that the information is being presented on the street.
5. 16-speaker sound system
Both Mahindra electric cars come with a 1400W, 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system. This audio system comes with support for Dolby Atmos, which further enhances the experience with surround sound capabilities.
6. Auto Park Assistance
Mahindra has made good use of the 360-degree camera system by including auto park assist in both. This feature is usually seen in luxury vehicles. This will help people park their cars in tight spaces and parallel parking situations. Apart from this, if needed, you can also get out of the car and park it at your favorite place.
7. LED DRL Animation
The XEV 9e and BE 6e come with stylish LED DRLs at the front and LED tail lights. These lights look great and also come with animation, which is a first for a Mahindra car. When you lock or unlock the car, its animations are activated. It also has triggers when playing music, which will make your party even more fun. It has a Groove Me function that activates light and sound shows and syncs with streaming music.
8. Selfie Camera
Selfie camera is also provided in the cabin of both. This camera feature tracks the driver’s face and can even alert the driver to apply brakes if fatigue is detected. People can also use it for video conferencing.
9. NFC Car Unlocking
You can also unlock using the NFC-enabled key in the XEV 9e or BE 6e. This will eliminate the hassle of always keeping the car keys with you. Because in its place there is a card-like key which unlocks the car with just one tap.
10. Boost Mode
In both of them, a button is provided to run the car in boost mode. With this mode the car provides a full power boost of 10 seconds. This provides a sudden boost to the powertrain’s full potential. This can be very helpful when overtaking vehicles on the highway.
11. Dual Wireless Phone Charger
Both the XEV 9e and BE 6e are the first cars from Mahindra to be equipped with dual wireless phone chargers. Both the charging pads are provided in the center console, providing additional convenience for the front row passengers.
Mahindra XEV 9e and BE 6e price
Mahindra has revealed only the base variants of the BE 6e and XEV 9e. Both have a 59 kWh battery pack. The starting ex-showroom price of Mahindra BE 6e is Rs 18.90 lakh. Similarly, the starting ex-showroom price of Mahindra XEV 9e is Rs 21.90 lakh.
