Hardik Pandya’s aggressive form continues, worst bowling goes to Shardul Thakur

All-rounder Hardik Pandya continued his brilliant batting, hitting 28 runs and five sixes in one over from spinner Parvez Sultan, as Baroda defeated Tripura by seven wickets in the Group B match of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Chasing the target of 110 runs, Baroda won the match in 11.2 overs with the help of Hardik’s 47 runs in 23 balls. Baroda has won all four matches.

In the Group-E match, Kerala team defeated Mumbai by 43 runs. In this match, Shardul Thakur recorded the most expensive bowling spell in the history of Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. After being ignored in the IPL auction, Shardul gave away 69 runs in four overs after dismissing Sanju Samson (4). A total of six sixes and five fours were recorded in his overs. Kerala team scored 234 runs for five wickets with the help of Salman Nizar’s unbeaten 99 runs. Despite captain Ajinkya Rahane’s 68 runs, Mumbai team was successful in scoring 191 runs for nine wickets.

Saurashtra won over Uttarakhand by 43 runs

In the Group-B match played in Indore, Saurashtra team defeated Uttarakhand by 43 runs with the help of Prerak Mankad’s 54 runs. Saurashtra team scored 186 runs for seven wickets. In comparison, Uttarakhand team could score only 143 runs for six wickets.
