Jammu, 29 November (HIST). A delegation of Movement Kalki met Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jammu Joginder Singh on Friday and submitted two memorandums to him. In these, attention was drawn to serious issues regarding the working style of the police administration and related shortcomings.

The memorandum expressed concern over the increasing cases of love jihad and crime in Jammu. It mentioned a recent incident in which an accused eloped with a girl by hiding his real identity. When the girl recovered, it came to light that the accused had fraudulently hidden his identity. Movement Kalki accused the police that they deliberately filed a charge sheet against only one accused in this case and did not include other accused in the investigation. The court also accepted the claims of Movement Kalki as true and directed for a thorough investigation into the matter. The delegation demanded that the investigation should be conducted by an officer of at least SP rank so that a fair and transparent investigation can be conducted.

SSP Joginder Singh took the memorandum of Movement Kalki seriously and assured that these issues will be thoroughly investigated. He also ensured that such negligence on the part of the police administration will be prevented in future. Movement Kalki has expressed hope that the administration will take these issues seriously and ensure strict action against the culprits.
