Jammu, 29 November (HIST). Jammu Zone Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Anand Jain said on Friday that National Security Guard (NSG) has been deployed in Jammu to assist the security forces.
ADGP said that massive search operations are going on in Jammu region to dismantle the terrorist ecosystem and network. He said that we are getting help from special forces. Responding to a question about the deployment of NSG in Jammu in view of the threat, Jain said that we are ready to face any situation. The ADGP said a special unit of the country’s premier counter-terrorism force NSG has been deployed in Jammu following the recent terrorist attacks in the area. A counter-terrorism unit has been deployed in the city on the instructions of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).
The ADGP said that massive search operations are going on in all the districts of Jammu region to crack down on the terrorist network and network and eliminate their presence. He said that after registering the cases, we have launched a search operation in all the districts of Jammu division against the support base of overground workers. A large number of people have been interrogated and the search will continue against the terrorists and their supporters.
The ADGP further said that efforts are being made to dismantle the terrorist infrastructure. He said that we have searched more than 50 places in different districts. Cracking down on terrorist operatives and their structures remains a priority. Saying that action will continue against terrorists operating from Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Anand Jain said that we have seized the property of seven people operating from Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Further action is underway against others. He also said that cases related to the terrorist attacks were being investigated. He said that action is being taken against the people involved in these cases. Firdaus was arrested from Bhaderwah and more arrests are expected.
