Mirzapur, 29 November (Hindustan Reporter). A district level cultural program was successfully organized on Friday under the joint aegis of Youth Welfare and Provincial Guard Department and Nehru Yuva Kendra. In this program various competitions like folk dance (group/solo), story writing, photography, speech, and science exhibition were organized.
The program was inaugurated by City MLA Ratnakar Mishra, who blessed the participants. On the occasion of closing ceremony, Sohanlal Mali, Vice Chairman of the State Backward Classes Commission, awarded the winners.
In the competition, the team of Ganga Prajapati (Block Jamalpur) got first place in the folk dance group. Ankita Gupta stood first in folk dance solo, Vishwas in science exhibition group, Arvind Kumar in painting, Sangeeta Yadav in speech and Annu in poetry and story writing.
On this occasion, District Information Officer, Vice Principal (Government Inter College), District Youth Welfare Officer Dinesh Kumar, District Youth Officer Prateek Sahu, and Regional Youth Welfare Officer were present. The jury included Professor of GD Binani College, Vidyasagar Premi and other dignitaries.
This program was organized with the aim of providing a platform to the talent of the youth and encouraging their cultural and creative abilities.
