New Delhi, 29 November (HS). Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said the government will continue to focus on enhancing India’s tourism infrastructure given the potential of the tourism sector to bring prosperity to the lives of many people.
Responding to Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat’s ex-post, Prime Minister Modi said, “Tourism has the potential to bring prosperity to the lives of many people. “Our government will continue to focus on enhancing India’s tourism infrastructure to ensure that more and more people can experience the wonders of Incredible India.”
Earlier, Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat said in a post on X that to ensure that the whole world sees every corner of India. In a huge boost to India’s tourism sector, our Government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi today approved 40 projects in 23 States under the Special Assistance to States and Union Territories for Capital Investment (SASCI) scheme, to enable the prestigious Tourism centers can be developed as per global standards.
He said that these projects costing Rs 3,295.76 crore will boost the local economy and generate employment through sustainable tourism. From reducing overcrowding at popular destinations, integrating advanced technologies, promoting sustainable practices, encouraging public-private partnerships to enhance infrastructure and visitor experiences, to enjoy India’s natural, cultural and historical grandeur. A number of measures will be taken to ensure a world-class experience for all who wish to visit.
