Politics of Maharashtra: After the crushing defeat in Maharashtra elections, cracks are increasing in the alliance of Maha Vikas Aghadi. Earlier, G Parameshwara, who became the in-charge of Congress in Maharashtra elections, had blamed the lack of cooperation of Uddhav Thackeray and Sharad Pawar’s party for the defeat in Maharashtra. Now Shiv Sena (UBT) has blamed Congress for its defeat.
Congress’s overconfidence drowned us
UBT leader Ambadas Danve criticized Congress and said that Congress’s overconfidence has harmed Maha Vikas Aghadi in Maharashtra Assembly elections. Congress is responsible for our defeat.
Congress is in full swing after Lok Sabha elections
Furthermore, Danve said that Congress is on a high after giving a tough fight to BJP’s NDA alliance in the Lok Sabha elections. He had a lot of confidence in himself. This overconfidence was clearly seen in Haryana, Jammu-Kashmir and Maharashtra. Rahul Gandhi and Congress worked hard during the Lok Sabha elections and gave the result to the Bharat Alliance. But being overconfident, he did not make any special efforts for the state elections.
Reasons responsible for the defeat of MVA
According to Danve, Maha Vikas Aghadi remained in a dilemma and the issue of seat allocation was debated till the last day. But in those days, people had to be contacted through election campaigning. Although Shiv Sena (UBT) had a strong hold on some seats, Congress did not allocate those seats.
Chief Minister’s face was not presented
Congress should have presented the face of the Chief Minister before the elections. If he had announced the name of Uddhav Thackeray as Chief Minister, the results would have been different. But he did not do so. Congress was very excited to make its leader the Chief Minister.
