Civic elections: Congress made senior leaders district in-charge, handed over responsibility

Dehradun, 28 November (HS). In preparation for the upcoming municipal elections in Uttarakhand, the Congress Party has made partial amendments in the list of district in-charges released earlier and has appointed senior leaders in-charge of various districts.

State Congress Vice President (Organization and Administration) Mathuradutt Joshi said that this decision has been taken by State Congress in-charge, MP and National General Secretary Kumari Selja on the recommendation of State President Karan Mahara. The purpose of the appointed leaders-in-charge is to streamline the preparation and conduct of civic elections.

Responsibility assigned to these district in-charges

Former National Secretary Prakash Joshi in Dehradun, former Minister Shoorveer Singh Sajwan in Haridwar, State Vice President Suryakant Dhasmana in Uttarkashi, MLA Madan Singh Bisht in Chamoli, former Minister Surendra Singh Negi in Tehri, former Minister Prasad Naithani in Rudraprayag, former MLA in Pauri. Jot Singh Gunsola, State General Secretary Bhagirath Bhatt in Pithoragarh, former MP Mahendra Singh Pal in Champawat, In Almora, MLA Harish Dhami, in Bageshwar, former District President Satish Nainwal, in Nainital, former Assembly Speaker Govind Singh Kunjwal, in Udham Singh Nagar, former MLA Ranjit Singh Rawat have been appointed district in-charge.

Report sought within a week

All India Congress Committee and State Congress Committee have directed all the in-charges to coordinate with local Congress workers to ensure the victory of party candidates in their respective districts. Also submit your report to the state office within the next one week.
