Jammu, 28 November (HS). Senior BJP leader and former state general secretary Munish Sharma held an important review meeting with BJP District President Reasi Rohit Dubey on Thursday at the Reasi BJP office on the ongoing membership campaign (organization festival).
MLA Reasi Kuldeep Raj Dubey, Sheel Mogotra, Sardar Pradeep Singh, Chaudhary Akram, Pawan Dev Singh and other senior party leaders attended the meeting. Addressing the gathering, Munish Sharma said that as we all know that the membership campaign of the party is going on. We have to run the membership campaign vigorously. To go door to door at booth level, conduct workshops on enrollment process and ensure maximum membership registration.
Only those who have at least 50 members in their records can become active members of the party. He said that a three-member committee will also be formed under the chairmanship of the District President to oversee the nominated members. Munish Sharma urged the party leaders to carry forward the party’s membership drive with enthusiasm. He targeted the youth and women of the area and asked them to work for adding new members for at least two hours every day.
Apart from going door-to-door to encourage people to join the party, during the campaign he worked to promote all the developmental activities, programs and policies of the Modi government at the grassroots level. With only 13 days left, Sharma stressed on improving efforts by elected representatives, senior leaders, office-bearers and workers by setting individual targets to rope in new members.
