East Champaran, November 28 (HS). On Thursday, District Magistrate Saurabh Jorwal inaugurated the Mother New Born Care Unit (MNCU Ward) of O3 bed in the MCH building located in the Sadar Hospital complex of the district.
National teams of BMGF and UNICEF were also present at the inauguration. On the occasion, the District Magistrate, Civil Surgeon Dr. Vinod Kumar Singh, SNCU Nodal Dr. Amritanshu and other doctors gave important information to the DM about the Mother New Born Care Unit. On the occasion, District Magistrate Saurabh Jorwal said that for better care of mothers and their newborns, Bihar’s Mother New Born Care Unit has been started in Sadar Hospital, Motihari, where the mothers along with the diseased children will be kept, so that the children suffering from newborn diseases will be kept. Recovery will be possible at a faster pace.
He also inspected the SNCU ward and gave many necessary instructions. It is noteworthy that according to WHO’s research, 40 percent of sick children living with their mother have a rapid recovery, and the mortality rate of newborn children is also found to be reduced. .
On the occasion, CS Dr. Vinod Kumar Singh said that now the newborn babies along with their mothers will be provided food and other facilities. Already, the facility of 16 beds is being provided in the SNCU ward of Sadar Hospital, Motihari, in which the children can stay. Many serious diseases are being treated in a better way. Health Manager Kaushal Dubey and Dr. Amritanshu said that for better care of pregnant women and their children in the wards, there will be monitoring of doctors even in emergencies.
Trained health workers will be deployed here. In this unit, children suffering from premature birth, low weight, hypothermia, respiratory diseases etc will be provided treatment as per the need. CS, DS, DPM, BMGF, UNICEF National Team, DCM, Health Manager, Piramal, CIFAR, and other health workers were present on the occasion.
