Afghanistan earthquake: A mild earthquake was felt in parts of Jammu and Kashmir today (November 28) afternoon. National Center for Seismology said that an earthquake of 5.8 magnitude occurred in Afghanistan. A mild tremor was felt in various parts of the Himalayas at around 4:19 pm. According to the US Geological Survey, the epicenter of the earthquake was the Afghanistan-Tajikistan border area.
Earthquake occurred in Nagaland also
Earlier today at 7.22 am an earthquake of 3.8 magnitude occurred in Kiphire, Nagaland. Earlier on Monday morning, an earthquake of 3.6 magnitude had occurred in Damchera area of Northern district of Tripura, which was confirmed by the National Center for Seismology (NCS). The earthquake occurred at 3:56 am at a depth of 10 km, with its epicenter at 24.20 degrees north latitude and 92.27 degrees east longitude.
Mild tremors were felt in Damchera, located near Tripura’s interstate border with Assam and Mizoram, but no damage or casualties were reported so far.
