To encourage the talented players of Gujarat, a sports talent award presentation program was organized in the presence of Minister of State for Sports Harsh Sanghvi. In this event, a total of 56 talented players from Gujarat who won in national, international and special competitions like Scholastic and Khelo India were awarded a total cash prize of Rs 1.88 crore by Harsh Sanghvi.
Aryan Nehra, who won one gold and three silver medals in the international level swimming competition, was given a check of Rs 1 crore. Harsh Shanghvi said that it is the right of the athletes to dream of winning a medal and it is the responsibility of the athlete to work hard to achieve it. It is the responsibility of the state government to provide all types of facilities to this player. The state government is ready to provide every opportunity to talented players. As Gujarat is developing rapidly in sports, every athlete of Gujarat should only aim for Olympics. It is noteworthy that in the last decade, 1627 players of Gujarat have been given cash prizes worth more than Rs 24.07 crore. SAG Director General R. S. Ninama, Secretary I.R. Vala, Joint Secretary B. Of. Vasava, Deputy Secretary Nilesh Damor were present and appreciated the achievements of the players.
