Aam Aadmi Party has prepared a plan to increase political activities in the state and increase coordination with workers at the grassroots level. The newly appointed state president of the party, Aman Arora, will sit in the party office for two hours daily and will also listen to the problems of the people and volunteers. It is being said that the party has taken this decision to remove the disappointment spread among the workers at the lower level and in view of the elections for five municipal corporations and city council in the next few days.
Renovation work of the party office located in Sector 39 has started at a rapid pace. There are chances of hustle and bustle in the office again in the coming days. Before the formation of the AAP government in Punjab, the party office was set up in the house of the leader of the opposition (Harpal Singh Cheema) and party president Bhagwant Mann and the entire leadership used to conduct all political activities from the house of the opposition.
After the formation of Aam Aadmi Party government in the state, Raunak gradually disappeared from the office. Although press conferences, meetings and other activities are being organized by party leaders in the office, the footfall of common people and volunteers has reduced. Sources say that due to non-payment of bills for the last several months, the Wi-Fi connection of the party office has been closed, while newspapers have also been closed. Due to this, the party has started re-training work to increase the old activity in the office so that the volunteers can be activated again.
Meetings will be held with district officials
It is being told that the reason for increase in political activities in the party office is the elections of five municipal corporations and about four dozen city councils and nagar panchayats of the state. There is discussion in political circles that a notification may be issued regarding corporation and council elections. Delhi Assembly elections are to be held early next year, due to which the focus of the party high command will be on Delhi. In view of the possibility of the party’s central leaders not coming to Punjab till the Delhi elections, the high command has given the political leadership of the state to Aman Arora. It is being told that Aman Arora is planning to visit different cities in the coming days. Apart from this, they will also consult the officials of the districts to prepare the new structure. Now it remains to be seen how long Aman Arora and Executive Chairman Amansher Singh Sherry Kalsi will sit in the office. While Aman Arora will have to devote time to political activities, he will also have to give priority to his work as a cabinet minister.
