On Wednesday, a cooking competition among the cooks and assistants working under the Araria District Mid Day Meal Scheme was organized under the chairmanship of SDM Shailja Pandey in middle school Tedhi Mushari of Forbesganj. On the occasion, SDM along with DEO Sanjay Kumar interacted with the jury and children. I sat down and tasted the food. The competition was held among 30 cooks-cum-assistants from 15 schools. The cooks serving children as MDMs in the schools were divided into three groups by forming a group of ten cooks each. A competition was organized for the three groups to prepare three types of menus separately. Group A prepared cumin rice and potato soybean vegetable, Group B pulao made of chickpea and Group C Khichdi chokha with green vegetables. The objective of this competition is to prepare quality MDM with cleanliness and feed it to children. The winning participants were rewarded. Block Resource Service Pankaj Verma said that cook utensils, cooking gas and food items were made available at the venue by the school itself.
The judges were District Coordinator Saroj Tiwari, Accountant Rajan Kumar, Block Resource Worker Pankaj Verma, Block Head Omprakash Paswan, retired teacher Umanand Sah, Principal Middle School, Tedhi Mushari Vikram Kumar, student Sushmita Kumari of class 8. Block Sadhansevi Pankaj Verma said that this competition is organized so that the cooks can prepare good MDM with cleanliness and feed it to the children in schools. In conducting this program, along with all the teachers of the school family, mainly Chandra Bhanu Kumar Bharti, Vinod Kumar Logi, Ashok Kumar Singh, Randhir Kumar Mehta, Krishna Kumar, Manish Kumar, Sita Kumari, Kalita Kumari, Prem Prakash, Rose Mary Marandi. , Dhananjay Kumar, Kundan Paswan, Kumari Manju, Shikha, Bhanu Jaiswal, Kumari Priyanka, Sabnam Praveen along with teacher Ranjesh Kumar of Primary School Chhurchuria. It was a commendable contribution. The program was presided over by SDO Shailja Pandey Forbesganj, District Education Officer Sanjay Kumar, Chief Omprakash Paswan and all the active villagers of the society were present.
