Gumla, 27th November (Hindustan Reporter). The police foiled the intention of the banned Naxalite organization CPI Maoists to harm the police force by recovering five can bombs.
According to the information received, on Tuesday the police had received secret information that a cane bomb had been laid by Naxalites with the intention of causing harm to the police in Anjan Hirankhand forest of Gumla police station area. To verify this information and take further action, a special campaign was conducted by forming a joint team of Gumla Police and SSBK. During the search operation, the presence of a bomb was verified in Hirnakhand forest. 05 live can bombs of 2 kg each found during the search operation were destroyed by the BDDS team of Jharkhand Jaguar on Wednesday. Further action is being taken.
