Palwal, 27 November (HS). In Palwal, Cyber Crime police station has arrested an accused for committing online fraud of Rs 1 lakh 15 thousand by stealing a mobile phone. The accused has been produced in the court and taken on remand for questioning, so that mobile and cash can be recovered from him. While giving information on Wednesday, Cyber Crime police station in-charge Naveen Kumar said that Mohit Mangala, resident of Kanungo Mohalla, Palwal, said in his complaint that he was going from Palwal to Delhi Border (Badarpur Border) for some personal work. During this time his mobile phone was stolen on the way. After which Rs 1 lakh 15 thousand were deducted from his account in three transactions. In relation to which the Cyber Crime Station Police had registered a case and started investigation.
The station in-charge said that the investigation of the case was handed over to Assistant Sub Inspector Devi Singh. On the basis of cyber technology and bank records, police have arrested Tohid, resident of Khori Jamalpur village of Faridabad district. The accused has been taken on remand to recover the defrauded amount and the mobile phone used in the crime. The accused is being interrogated, soon other accused related to the case will also be arrested.
