But this film made in the year 2002 was banned due to some reasons and the film could not be released in theatres. However, Anurag Kashyap’s first film is going to release at the box office after 22 years.

According to known information, the first film directed by Five has been passed by the Censor Board after 22 years and the ban on it has also been lifted. After passing the Censor Board, this film will now be released in homes in the next six months.

In this regard, producer Tutu Sharma said that plans are underway to release the film in theatres. Due to the ban on the film, its negatives have also been damaged. Now the process of restoring this film has been started. When it is ready the film will be released.

The film Punch was banned due to its sensitive subject matter and objectionable language. The film is inspired by the Joshi Abhyankar serial murders that took place in Pune in 1976–77. KK Menon will be seen in the lead role in this film. Besides, Aditya Srivastava, Tejashwi K Kolhapuri, Vijay Maurya are also playing important roles in the film. After 22 years, the Censor Board has approved the release of this film.
