Sri Lankan team canceled Pakistan tour, why did they leave the series midway?

PAK Violence: A 3-match ODI series is being played between Pakistan Shaheen and Sri Lanka A. The last 2 matches of the 3-match ODI series have been cancelled. Pakistan Cricket Board has taken a big decision. Massive protests are underway in Islamabad by supporters of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), the political party led by former Pakistan captain and Prime Minister Imran Khan. Due to this, the remaining matches of Sri Lanka A’s Pakistan tour have been postponed indefinitely.

PCB issued statement
PCB has said in its statement that due to political opposition in the twin cities of Pakistan’s capital Islamabad and Rawalpindi, the board has taken a major decision. In such a situation, PCB has postponed the last two matches of the 3-match ODI series. The last two matches were to be played on Wednesday and Friday at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. Both the boards will soon announce the finalization of new dates to complete the series.

Pakistan won the first match by a huge margin of 108 runs. In this match, Pakistan batted first and scored 306/7 runs. Mohammad Huraira scored 26 runs. Apart from this, Haider Ali played an inning of 108 runs in 94 balls. While Abdul Samad scored 56 runs in 63 balls. In reply, Sri Lanka A scored 198/10 runs. In this match, the Sri Lankan cricket team had to face defeat by 108 runs.
