Bhopal, 26 November (HS). Union Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairy Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh has honored dairy farmer Devendra Parmar of Patlawada Milk Committee of Shujalpur Camp located in Shajapur district of Madhya Pradesh with the ‘Gopal Ratna’ National Award-2024. Farmer Devendra Parmar was given this award at a function organized at Manekshaw Centre, New Delhi on the occasion of National Milk Day on Tuesday.
Public Relations Officer Pankaj Mittal said that farmer Devendra Parmar of Shajapur district of Madhya Pradesh has been selected for the prestigious National Gopal Ratna Award 2024 of the Central Animal Husbandry and Dairy Department for his achievement in the animal husbandry and dairy sector. He has been awarded the second prize for indigenous animal breed improvement in the Best Dairy Farmer category.
It is noteworthy that farmer Devendra Parmar is a milk entrepreneur farmer from Patlawada in Shajapur district, who is a member of Shujalpur Milk Production Committee under Bhopal Milk Union. He rears a large number of milch animals and has done remarkable work in improving the breed of indigenous cows. They sell packaged milk under the name of Dev Dairy. He has also installed a cow dung gas plant in his farm, which produces large quantity of cow dung gas and also earns good income by selling organic fertilizers.
