The 1200 km long expressway will pass through 11 districts and connect to 30 national highways.

Narmada Expressway: The largest expressway is being built in Madhya Pradesh. It has been named Narmada Expressway. This expressway will cover a distance of about 1200 kilometers passing through 11 districts of the state. It will cost about Rs 31,000 crore to build this expressway.

This expressway is 4 times bigger than Yamuna Expressway. About 30 national highways, state highways and district roads will be connected to the Narmada Expressway, which will lead to rapid development in these 11 districts.

Expressway Connectivity

Narmada Expressway is being constructed from Amarkantak to Alirajpur district. This expressway will pass through Anuppur, Dhindori, Mandla, Jabalpur, Narsinghpur, Hoshangabad, Harda, Khandwa, Kharoghan, Barwani and Alirajpur.

Expressway work expected to be completed by 2026

The state highways connecting to the Narmada Expressway currently have two lanes, but will be widened in the future. Then these two lane highways will become four lanes. The work of this expressway is expected to be completed by 2026.

Will also connect two states with Madhya Pradesh

Narmada Expressway will connect Gujarat and Chhattisgarh. It will connect Alirajpur to Ahmedabad and Anuppur district to Chhattisgarh.

Narmada Expressway will boost tourism

Narmada Expressway will boost tourism in the state. Not only Madhya Pradesh but also Gujarat and Chhattisgarh will benefit from it. Narmada Expressway will ease connectivity between these three states. Travel will be comfortable for tourists visiting tourist places like Omkareshwar, Amarkantak and Bhedaghat-Lametaghat. Narmada Expressway will increase employment opportunities and also bring investment opportunities in the three states.
