Maryland Mavericks and New Jersey Titans take lead, Atlanta Blackcaps bounce back

Florida, November 26 (HS). Atlanta Blackcaps registered their first win with 2 points as Maryland Mavericks and New Jersey Titans continued their explosive performance at the Broward County Stadium in Florida on the fourth day of USPL Season 3.

In the first match of the fourth day of the US Premier League (USPL), Maryland Mavericks won a spectacular victory over Carolina Golden Eagles by 22 runs.

Batting first, Maryland scored 165 runs losing 4 wickets in 20 overs, thanks to captain Shubham Ranjane’s stormy innings of 61 runs in 28 balls. In reply, Carolina Golden Eagles, who set out to chase the runs, seemed stuck right from the beginning. Although Unmukt Chand and captain Monank Patel tried to handle the innings, but due to slow run rate they lost the match by 23 runs. Fani Simhadri was awarded the Player of the Match award for his brilliant spell of 3 wickets.

In the second game, New Jersey Titans won over Carolina Eagles by 21 runs. Batting first, Titans set a target of 173 runs for 9 wickets, in which Hammad Azam played a brilliant inning of 57 runs in 35 balls. In reply, Carolina Eagles failed to build momentum and were reduced to 152 runs losing 9 wickets. Hammad Azam was named player of the match for his impressive half-century.

The third and final match of the day saw a brilliant performance from Atlanta Blackcaps against New York Cowboys. New York Cowboys could not do anything special and the entire team collapsed on only 87 runs. In which Nagash Basharat and Ali Shaikh took 3-3 wickets. Atlanta Blackcaps easily achieved this target in just 12 overs. Ali Shaikh, who took 3 wickets for just 10 runs, was given the Player of the Match award for his excellent performance.

By the end of the fourth day, New Jersey Titans and Maryland Mavericks remain at the first and second positions with six points each, while Carolina Eagles and California Golden Eagles are positioned at the third and fourth positions with four points each. On the fourth day of the league, Atlanta Blackcaps opened their account and scored 2 points.
