Saharsa, 26 November (Hindustan Reporter). On the occasion of Constitution Day, in the Central Hall of the Indian Parliament on Tuesday, His Excellency the President of the country Draupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Virla, Deputy President, Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha, Mallika Arjun Khargai and several cabinets. The Minister released the original copy of the Maithili translated Indian Constitution on the occasion of the country’s tenth Constitution Day.
It may be noted that in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution, twenty-two languages of the country have the status of national language. On the occasion of Constitution Day, the Constitution was released in the two oldest languages of India, which included Sanskrit and Maithili. Koshi and Mithila of the Maithili Constitution Recently this year, the Indian Institute of Languages, Mysore organized an event at the East N West Teachers Training College, Saharsa, located at the Kosi Divisional Headquarters, from February 9 to February 21, 2024. A ten-day workshop on the Indian Constitution was organised. Under the chairmanship of Dr. Rajneesh Ranjan, Chairman of East N West, the Maithili Constitution was given shape. Many people witnessed it, including members of the National Translation Mission of the Institute of Indian Languages, Mysore. Dr. Shambhu Kumar Singh, Dr. Rajneesh Ranjan, Dr. Shishir Kumar Mishra, Dr. Satish Kumar Das, Dr. Narendra Nath Jha, Prof. Ashok Kumar Singh, Dr. Balveer Kumar Jha, Dr. Sanjay Kumar Chaudhary, Advocate Aditya Thakur were involved in the translation work.
The witnesses of this translation are Dr. Vimlendu Shekhar Jha, Vice Chancellor of Bhupendra Narayan Mandal University, Outgoing DS W. Naveen Kumar, Outgoing Registrar Dr. Mihir Kumar Thakur, DCLR of Saharsa Sadar Subdivision, Lalit Kumar Singh, Language campaigner Sunil Kumar Jha Bhanu, Kislay Krishna, East N West. Principal of Teachers Training College, Dr. Nagendra Kumar Jha, Professor cum Public Relations Officer Abhay Manoj and all the staff of the institute. Professors, outgoing professors and outgoing student teachers were included.
