Kanpur, 26 November (HS). The Constitution is such a sacred text with which we remain connected throughout our lives. The Constitution itself has given us fundamental rights and fundamental duties and the Constitution gives energy to develop the country. These things were said by Balakrishna N Ranjan, Special Secretary, Uttar Pradesh Government, as the chief guest, while addressing the seminar on the occasion of Constitution Day organized at Chandrashekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology on Tuesday.
He said that the Constituent Assembly had adopted the Constitution on 26 November 1949. Later it was implemented on 26 January 1950. The organizer of the program was Dean Student Welfare Dr. Munish Kumar said that programs will be organized throughout the year to commemorate the completion of 75 years of the adoption of the Constitution. Registrar Dr. P.K. Upadhyay said that the purpose of Constitution Day is to encourage the constitutional values, rights and duties of the citizens. Dean, Faculty of Agriculture, Dr. CL Maurya said that the objective of the Constitution is to achieve justice, liberty, equality and fraternity.
The program was conducted by Dr. Rajeev, Co-Dean Student Welfare and Dr. Sarvesh Kumar proposed the vote of thanks. On this occasion, by taking the pledge of the Constitution, a resolution was taken with integrity to increase the fraternity that ensures the unity and integrity of the nation. Dean Planetary Science Dr. Mukta Garg and faculty members along with about 200 students participated in the program.
