The words socialist and secular were not in the original Constitution: Dr. RA Verma

Sultanpur, 26 November (HS). BJP celebrated the 75th anniversary of Constitution Day as Pride Day. On Tuesday, under the leadership of BJP District President Dr RA Verma, BJP workers paid tribute to the statue of Bharat Ratna Dr Ambedkar situated in front of Vikas Bhawan by garlanding it. After this a seminar was organized at the BJP office.

District President Dr. RA Verma said in the seminar that no power can change the Constitution of India. He said that there were no words socialist and secular in the original Constitution. During the Emergency, Indira Gandhi strangled the Constitution of India by tampering with the Preamble of the Constitution. He said the Indian Constitution is the basic foundation of India’s democracy. During this, he discussed the personality and work of Dr. Ambedkar. He called upon all workers to keep a copy of the Constitution at their homes. During this, the District President read the Preamble and Directive Principles of the Constitution.

Former regional president Dr. MP Singh described the Constitution of India as the most comprehensive and powerful constitution in the world and said that Baba Saheb first laid the foundation stone of “Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat” in the form of the Constitution. Baba Saheb laid the foundation of law, science and art. Had achieved the highest degree. Former District President Dr. Sitasharan Tripathi said that Congress never respected the Constitution. Congress is only engaged in spreading confusion and lies regarding the Constitution. BJP spokesperson Vijay Singh Raghuvanshi said that the party will celebrate Samvidhan Gaurav Mahotsav from 26 November to 26 January. Before this, the workers offered floral tributes to the portrait of Dr. Ambedkar. District Vice President Anand Dwivedi conducted the operation.
