Uttar Pradesh’s talented shuttler Mansi Singh made it to the main draw of women’s singles with a strong performance at the Syed Modi India International HSBC World Tour Super 300 Badminton Championship 2024. China’s Chen Zhu Jun and Guo Ro Han and Thailand’s Pharnyu Kaosmang and Tandan P. also secured places in the main draw. The qualifier matches of the USD 2,10,000 championship organized by the Uttar Pradesh Badminton Association under the auspices of the Badminton Association of India (BAI) were played at the Yonex Sunrise Babu Banarasi Das Badminton Academy. Mansi Singh defeated Prashant Bonam by three games in the qualifiers. Defeated 21-11, 22-24, 21-12 in the ongoing match.
Mansi Singh will now face fourth seed Pornpicha Choikkewong of Thailand in the first round of the women’s singles main draw.
