Constitution available in Sanskrit and Maithili language: The Constitution of India will now be available in Sanskrit and Maithili language also. As part of India’s 75th Constitution Day celebrations, President Draupadi Murmu released the Constitution book in Sanskrit and Maithili in the presence of Prime Minister Modi and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi and other MPs. Sanskrit language is the ancient language of India. Furthermore, Maithili is the regional language of Bihar state in the northern part of the country and the Terai region of Nepal. Devanagari script is used to write this language. Which even today many people of the North can read and write.
Postal stamps and coins also unveiled
Special postage stamps and coins were also unveiled as part of the Constitution Day celebrations. The Central Government also launched a new website https://constitution75.com at the joint session on the occasion of Constitution Day, which will encourage citizens to preserve the legacy of the Constitution through various activities and resources. Joint reading of the Preamble of the Constitution will also be done in schools and colleges across the country.
The Constitution provides continuous guidance in the development of the country.
Releasing the Constitution in both the languages, President Murmu said, ‘The Constitution is a living, progressive document, which is continuously guiding the development of the country. In the last 75 years, our country has emerged as a global community. Women have also become empowered. The purpose of our Constitution is to work together with the Municipality, Judiciary and Legislative Assembly to protect the interests of the common people.
Indian Constitution is also available in Gujarati
Apart from English and Hindi, the Constitution of India is available in various regional languages including Kannada, Gujarati, Kashmiri, Dogri, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Oriya, Punjabi, Sindhi, Tamil, Bengali, Telugu, Urdu, Assamese. Bodo and Nepali, now it is also available in Sanskrit and Maithili.
