Be it applying for a loan or opening a bank account, buying a flat or property, PAN card is one of the essential documents. The government has made major changes in this PAN card. PAN 2.0 project was approved in the Modi cabinet meeting on Monday. Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that the government will spend Rs 1435 crore on this project. The new PAN card will be much more advanced than the existing PAN card. The 10 digit PAN card is a document issued by the Income Tax Department. The government wants to make it better and safer by making it more advanced. It aims to strengthen digital security and reduce the possibility of fraud and data theft.
The new PAN card will be completely different from the old PAN card.
The new PAN card will have a QR code. For this, paperless i.e. online process will be adopted. The most important thing is that for this people will not need to spend separately for PAN with QR code. The new PAN card fitted with a scanner will keep the data completely secure.
How different will PAN Card 2.0 be?
