Coast Guard achieves major success in Andaman Sea: The Indian Coast Guard seized approximately 5500 kg of narcotics worth approximately Rs 25 thousand crore from a fishing boat in the Andaman Sea area. The boat was sighted by the pilot of a Coast Guard Dornier aircraft during a routine patrol. The official said that it is being investigated from where the consignment was coming and to whom and where it was to be supplied.

700 kg quantity of methamphetamine seized

Earlier this month, anti-narcotics agencies had seized around 700 kg of methamphetamine in the Indian Ocean off the coast of Gujarat. Along with this, eight Iranian citizens were arrested. Additionally, the Indian Coast Guard and Gujarat ATS had seized 500 kg of drugs from the Porbandar coastal area of ​​Gujarat on November 15.

Big success under ‘Sagar Manthan-4’ operation

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) said in a statement that the operation named ‘Sagar Manthan-4’ was based on intelligence information. The Navy identified and intercepted the ship using maritime patrol resources. This operation was jointly carried out by the Anti-Terrorist Squad of NCB, Navy and Gujarat Police.
